Grade 5 Camp at Klein Kariba

This exceptional outdoor adventure provided our students with unforgettable experiences, opportunities for personal growth and memorable moments of camaraderie.

Nestled in a breathtaking setting, Klein Kariba offered the perfect backdrop for our girls to engage in a diverse range of exciting and challenging activities. They also enjoyed some swimming time in the warm spring water pools. The camp was designed to push boundaries, foster teamwork and create lasting memories.

Activities and experiences:

The girls participated in an array of exciting activities that tested their courage, built their confidence and encouraged collaboration.

Abseiling- Our students bravely took on the challenge of abseiling, showcasing their determination and courage in overcoming heights.

Team building games- Through engaging team building exercises, the students learnt valuable lessons in cooperation, communication and trust.

Hiking- Exploring beautiful surrounds of Klein Kariba on foot allowed the girls to connect with nature and appreciate the stunning landscapes.

Archery- With focus and precision, our girls tried their hand at archery, developing skills in concentration and technique.

Horse Riding- Riding horses allowed the students to bond with these magnificent animals and experience thrill of exploring trails on horseback.

One of the highlights of the camp was the unforgettable experience of Adventures with the elephants. The girls had the incredible opportunity to learn about these majestic creatures, gaining insights into elephant behaviour, conservation, their sense of smell and their magnificent memory span! Interacting with the elephants was both educational and awe-inspiring for our students.

For many of our girls, some of the above activities were the first time that they had experienced the activity.

We are proud to say that our Grade 5 girls received compliments from camp staff, facilitators and visitors at Klein Kariba for their excellent behaviour! Their conduct throughout the camp reflected positively on our school’s values.

Overall, the Grade 5 camp was an outstanding success, filled with adventure, learning and memories.
