Wolwespruit Hike Sets the Tone for an Exciting 2026 Adventure Camp
The Grade 10 class of 2026 is gearing up for an unforgettable start to the year with the upcoming Big Adventure Camp, taking place from 19–23 January in the breathtaking Monk’s Cowl area of the Central Drakensberg. This camp promises much more than just outdoor fun—it is designed to build character, nurture leadership, and strengthen the bonds within the grade.
To prepare for this exciting journey, the current Grade 9 group completed a 5 km hike at Wolwespruit on 5 November 2025. They were joined by Mr Nic Shaw from Chrysalis, the service provider for the 2026 camp. The hike offered a taste of what lies ahead—fresh air, camaraderie, and a reminder that growth often happens when you push yourself just a little further than you thought possible.
Despite it being the day before their final exams, the girls embraced the challenge with enthusiasm. Laughter echoed through the trail, friendships were strengthened, and valuable lessons were learned about perseverance, teamwork, and the importance of stepping away from daily pressures to reconnect with nature.
As the countdown to January begins, excitement is building. The camp promises to set a positive, empowering tone for the year ahead—one filled with confidence, resilience, and unforgettable memories.
Here’s to adventure, courage, and the journey that awaits our future Grade 10s!
