Grade 4 Camp
The Grade 4 camp was a memorable adventure that began with a visit to the Ann van Dyk Cheetah Centre. The girls were thrilled to learn about a variety of animals, including cheetahs and the magnificent king cheetah, as well as wild dogs, hyenas, an African wild cat and a caracal. The camp focused on friendship and bonding, which the girls embraced through activities such as the zipline, maze, high wall climb, obstacle course and team challenges. These moments encouraged them to build trust, rely on one another and strengthen their communication skills, which are important in forming lasting friendships. They also enjoyed swimming, spending their pocket money at the tuckshop and creating lively war cries to perform around the campfire. A hike with breathtaking views added to the excitement, while delicious meals, complete with dessert, kept their energy high. The teachers were especially proud of the girls’ resilience and positive spirit, as they approached every part of the experience with enthusiasm and not a single complaint.
