Real life for kids

Our Grade 6s have enthusiastically embraced the Real Life 4 Kids programme, diving into hands-on learning that has been both fun and informative. The girls have been earning their own ‘salaries’ by taking on real-world roles and responsibilities in a simulated economy. One of the highlights so far has been earning their very own driver’s licences – a big step toward independence in their mini world. In so doing their daily transport costs are reduced. The girls are gaining invaluable life skills in a vibrant and practical way. It is a joy to witness their confidence grow as they learn the value of hard work, responsibility and teamwork, all whilst they are having a great time.

To continue with the integrated learning, the Grade 6s are learning about hydroponics as part of learning about sectors of industry.

This week, the girls took part in their long-awaited auction, and each became proud property owners! With deeds in hand and big dreams ahead, the building phase has officially begun. The very first house is already up, and its proud owner, Uhone Nemukongwe, could not be happier.

Watch this space for more updates as our mini property moguls bring their neighbourhood to life — one house at a time!
