Our Grade 2 girls recently combined meaningful classroom learning with community service as they honoured Nelson Mandela Day.
While preparing sandwiches for people in need, the girls put their literacy and mathematics skills into practice by giving clear, accurate instructions and cutting their sandwiches into equal fractions. This engaging, hands-on activity beautifully demonstrated how learning can extend beyond the classroom and make a real difference in the lives of others.
It was a wonderful opportunity for our girls to embrace the values of compassion, generosity and service, reminding us all that even the smallest acts of kindness can have a lasting impact.
