Fiesta 2026

Our annual Fiesta took place this year on 19 September 2026. Fiesta is a celebration of the school’s birthday. This year we celebrated 147 years of St Mary’s DSG and the Parents’ Association partnered with Arts@DSG to launch STARSFEST - a celebration of the Arts.

The day was a huge success, and the PA would like to thank all the parents and girls who supported this day by buying tickets and enjoying the day with us. We would also like to thank the teachers and our Grade 10 DEBS who helped on the day. We extend our thanks to Arts@DSG and commend them for being amazing partners on this journey.

Fiesta ’26 was exceptional in that we added many more events for parents and children. In addition to our fun-filled inflatables, we had 2 children’s theatre plays, 2 drumming circles, a play for senior school students and adults as well as an Art exhibition sponsored by Tshwane Capital Arts Fair. There was something good for everyone. Standard Bank also sponsored a Kids Zone and we had a DJ zone for our teens. Our market vendors and food vendors offered a variety of goods to buy. Impact Radio partnered with us to support Fiesta in collaboration with STARSFEST.

The day is always rounded off with great music. This year we thank our very own St Mary’s music teachers who formed a band called Staff Notes. They played popular songs and their talents clearly shone through. Will Rays is another local artist who entertained us with his great voice. DJ Neil Hunter set the tone for our sunset concert with the very popular DJ Zinhle. She loved performing for the girls and she embraced all the girls who won a chance to take a photo with her.

We are deeply grateful for the continued support of our St Mary’s community and encourage everyone to continue championing our school with pride and carrying the St Mary’s flag high.
