Consumer Studies Update
The Grade 8 and 9 students concluded their Entrepreneurship component and transitioned into the Food and Nutrition module. As part of their Design Project, students followed the design process—Discover, Elucidate, Ideate, Deliver, and Iterate—to respond creatively to given scenarios.
- The Grade 8s designed and created functional pinboards to help manage their busy schedules.
- The Grade 9s crafted beautiful Mother’s Day-inspired jewellery bowls using air-dry clay, blending aesthetics with purpose.
The Grade 10 and 11 students remained focused on their theoretical studies while also participating in a range of practical lessons aimed at enhancing their culinary and management skills. A highlight of the term was the highly successful AFROMEZZE Evening, where students showcased their abilities in both food preparation and event execution. This is the first of many exciting events planned—so watch this space!
