Staff Transitions: A Time of Gratitude and Celebration
Our school community is built on the dedication, care, and passion of the remarkable people who serve within it. As we continue to grow and evolve, we sometimes face the bittersweet moment of bidding farewell to valued colleagues while also celebrating the promotion of one of our colleagues.
Senior School Psychologist
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our Senior School Psychologist, Mrs Seago Maapola, as she prepares to leave our school to take up a promotional position as Head of Department at a school in Johannesburg.
During her time with us, she played an invaluable role in the lives of our girls. With compassion, professionalism, and unwavering commitment, she ensured that the mental health and emotional well-being of our students remained a focus for her. Her work has had a profound and lasting impact, supporting our girls through challenges, helping them build resilience, and creating a safe space where they felt heard, valued, and understood.
Her dedication to the well-being of our community has left a legacy we deeply appreciate.
While we will miss her presence, we are proud of her achievements and wish her every success in this exciting new chapter of her career.
Director of Advancement
We bid farewell to Mrs Nosipho Nkosi as she concludes her chapter with our school.
Though her time with us was brief, her contribution has been both meaningful and far-reaching. With clarity of vision and a deep understanding of storytelling, she strengthened how we share our voice with the world — ensuring that the spirit and values of our school were communicated with authenticity and pride.
Her work in growing our presence and engagement has laid a firm foundation for the future. We remain grateful for her leadership and the legacy she leaves behind.
Director of Boarding
We bid farewell to Ms Jiyane as she moves into a new chapter in her professional journey. During her time with us, she has been instrumental in shaping and strengthening our boarding community. Through her thoughtful leadership, she developed girl-centred structures that placed the wellbeing, dignity, and individual needs of each girl at the heart of boarding life.
Her ability to lead with both compassion and conviction brought a strong sense of care, structure, and belonging to the boarding house — creating a true home away from home for our girls.
We are deeply grateful for her contribution and the legacy she leaves behind, and we wish her every blessing in the season ahead.
Promotion
We are delighted to officially congratulate Mr Tian van Wyk on his promotion to Learning Area Coordinator of Mathematics and Entrepreneurship in the Senior School.
Having already served in this role in an acting capacity, Mr van Wyk has, over the past months, demonstrated clear strength in leadership. His passion, drive, and verve have been evident in the way he has guided both colleagues and students, setting a positive and forward-thinking tone within the department.
We extend our sincere thanks to him for his commitment and energy, and we look forward with great anticipation to the continued growth of this Learning Area under his leadership. We are confident that Mathematics and Entrepreneurship will flourish through innovative practices, creative thinking, and a strong focus on problem-solving, as the department embraces new trends and inspiring initiatives.
We wish him every success in this important role
