SPORT AT ST MARY’S DSG – TERM 2 ROUNDUP

After a vibrant series of festivals with exciting results, we hit the ground running in Term 2 — and what a term it has been!

Our basketball, netball, and hockey teams have shown exceptional grit and growth throughout their league seasons. As the leagues draw to a close, we are both excited and proud of the achievements across the board.

Congratulations to our:

    • Open A – 1st in league
  • Netball teams:

    • U16B – 2nd in B league
    • 2nd team – 1st in B league
    • 1st team – 1st in A league

Good luck to all our teams that have qualified for the playoffs — a reflection of consistent performance and hard work.

Our Hockey teams have also been on fire, consistently delivering top-level results. With many of our teams on track to win their leagues, the future of hockey at St Mary’s DSG looks exceptionally bright.

Off-season development has been a priority for both volleyball and tennis, with our teams embracing growth and participating in a range of competitions to build skill and team cohesion.

A special mention must go to our squash team, who continued to shine this term. Their standout performance at the NJSA competition earned them a 3rd place finish — an incredible achievement considering they were the youngest team in the competition. Well done, ladies!

We are also proud to acknowledge the many students who have been selected for provincial teams this term. We wish them all the best as they prepare to represent our school and province on larger stages.

The growth and evolution of sport at St Mary’s DSG is clear at every level — from grassroots development to competitive success. None of this would be possible without the dedicated support of our estate staff, teachers, managers, coaches, and parents. Thank you for walking this journey with us and for championing the sporting spirit of our school.

And to our girls:
Your hours of commitment, positive attitudes, pride in our school, and unshakable determination have been the driving force behind this term’s success.
We see you.
We celebrate you.
And we are so proud of all you’ve accomplished.

Here’s to many more victories — on and off the field.
