Our Grade 12 Alumnae Connect

- Mrs Carol Stedall

The Grade 12 /Alumnae Connect event held in mentor groups on the 12th May proved to be an enriching and eye-opening experience for everyone involved. The Matrics came prepared with thoughtful and genuinely interesting questions that went deeper than the surface, touching on real-world challenges, career choices and life after school in ways that sparked meaningful conversations.

What made the event particularly special was having alumnae from two different eras in the room. The contrast in their experiences, perspectives and journeys truly made a difference, offering the Grade 12’s a broader and more well-rounded view of what lies ahead. Hearing how much the world has changed over time made it clear that adaptability and resilience are timeless qualities, while also reassuring the girls that no matter what era you step out into, the path is always navigable.

Our thanks go to the alumnae who gave up their time to share their experiences and insights with the Class of 2026. They are Tumi (Pilusa) Martin 2016, Kgomotso Moalusi 1998, Portia (Mokgwatsane) Modise 1995, Naledi Pooe 2013, Nonku Lukhele 2002, Dineo Maboe-Khambu 2003, Maputhi Hlabela 2020, Tyla Steyn 2025 and Philippa Robinson 1983. We appreciate you!
